Something Blue? How about Tom’s Wedding Shoes!!

Lina and Colin were married on a beautiful summer day in Kingston, ON at the military base – a beautiful backdrop, rich in history. My favorite aspects of this wedding – the Bride’s blue Toms, the Groom’s lego cufflinks, the amazing garden roses and hot pink hydrangea,Fotune cookies centrepieces – the list goes on.  This couple was so much fun to work with & Rock Paper Petals helped this couple plan from start to finish. From the design of their programs, to the flowers, to the decor – we were honoured to be a part of this amazing day.

Danna and Scott were married on a beautiful spring day in Ottawa at the Museum of Nature – they wanted something classic, modern and fresh looking while being a little whimsy at the same time. And what a venue it was! The bride’s entrance down the stairs at the museum and the stained glass backdrop made the ceremony one of the most breathtaking I’ve seen. The reception was filled with touches of navy blue and green in the flowers and table runners and the chiavari chairs added that classic touch. Rock Paper Petals helped this couple plan from start to finish and were really honoured to be a part of this amazing day. From the flowers, programs, table runners, decor, coordination, set-up, tear down – we were there every step of the way.

Coady and Chrissy were married on a private island in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Guests were carried off to Las Caletas via catamaran and stepped on to a secluded white sandy beach where the intimate ceremony took place. The simple decor and complimentary colors let the island speak for itself. Rock Paper Petals was thrilled to play a part in this romantic destination wedding – the groom being Cassandra`s brother, there was no way we were going to miss posting this wedding that you are sure to swoon over!

Many thanks as always to the very talented Stephen Harris from Studio-28 who took the photos – we work with this photographer through 90% of our weddings and you can see why!

One of the weddings we’ll be playing a part in this month is a backyard oasis with lots of color. Yellow and gray is the main theme of this wedding and as you can see Rock Paper Petals has even made ties for the groomsmen! Eight to be exact. Keep a look out for more photos to come with the whole wedding, play by play. Now for those DIYers out there, ties aren’t the easiest thing to make, but with a good tutorial you can do anything! The pattern I used was taken from Puking Pastilles
